After completing her degree in nursing in St. Gall and marying Garth, she joined him in his return to New York. While raising two children she worked for twenty years in Oncology-hospice, so often aware of spiritual and emotional pain and needs not tended to. This lead her to complete a Masters in Social Work as well as three years of training in psychosynthesis (19 (1986-1989). Since then, she has worked in various mental health settings, integrating what she continues to learn from her travels, her studies, and work with people.
